Andy, Melissa, and Elijah Johnson

Andy and Melissa Johnson were both privileged to grow up in Christian homes under godly parents who raised them to love God above all else. They are both graduates of Abilene Christian University; Andy received a BA in Greek followed by an MA in Missions, while Melissa received a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Missions. They have both participated in several internships in Africa including: Nairobi, Kenya; Mt. Elgon, Kenya; Mbale, Uganda; and Yatiya, Guinea. They in fact met in Kenya on an internship, were engaged in Uganda on another, and were then married a little over six years ago in Melissa's home church in the San Francisco Bay area. They arrived in Burkina Faso along with the Chankins and Burks in September of 2002 and are overseen by Andy's home church, the 10th and Broad church of Christ in Wichita Falls, Texas. God blessed them with thier son, Elijah, in June 2006.
