This
last month was a time of adjustment for our family.
An adjustment for Emma to her little brother. An adjustment
for Archie and Mandy having a new born in the house.
We are very thankful to have this time to make these
adjustments. Please continue to pray that these adjustments
continue to go smoothly.
We
are moving to San Antonio 1st of March. Mandy and Archie
are looking forward to the time with Oak Hills. We would
love to hear from you. You may contact us by email at
archieandmandy@yahoo.com
or at 512 785-1811. Thank you for your prayers.
Blessings,
Archie, Mandy, Emma and Jack

We
would love to tell you about all the wonderful things
that are going on in ministry right now, like the Nakar-bagawn
church plant where the Nakar church (not just one evangelist)
is actually working together to reach their neighbors
across the creek, or the Nyinyime church where there
were 23 baptisms a couple of weeks ago, or the Mou preaching
point where there may be some new conversions in the
next couple of weeks, or the leaders meeting recently
with around 50 Christians representing 7 Dagara churches,
but we've been a little distracted lately. You see,
we have some interesting news . . . Andrea's pregnant!
But wait, there's more. It's twins!!! Although we are
now expecting, we weren't expecting this. Daniel is
so excited to be a big brother. We're absolutely ecstatic,
and also a little nervous. She's not very far along.
Therefore, please pray doubly hard for us, because the
doctor said that, as with any multiple pregnancy, it's
not certain that the twins will both survive to term.
Also please pray for wisdom and courage for us as we
prepare for two new additions to our family.
May the LORD Bless You and Keep You,
Aaron, Andrea, and Daniel

February
seemed to fly by, perhaps it is the 28 days. It
was a rough start as Amy dealt with her first
case of malaria but she is better now. Thanks
for your prayers for Muturi, Dakola and Dagore.
The Christians in Dagore have taught the lesson
on creation for the past two weeks in Dakola and
they hope to start in Mani this week. I guess
it just takes a Dagara person to get a meeting
started on time because they have started singing
and getting things rolling within 10-15 minutes
of our arrival (compared to the 1 hr to 1 ½ hrs
that white guys have to wait). Noah continues
to be a hit when he heads out to church on Sunday
mornings. He loves the singing time and just stares
all around. The heat and dust seem to be the cause
of his dry and irritated skin. Currently, we lather
him in lotion and try to keep him in the A/C as
much as possible (We may have an answer to prayer
as we look into a used Swamp Cooler in the capital).
The leaders meeting this month was a great surprise.
It was an incredibly diverse group from throughout
the Dagara churches. They heard the first in a
series of lessons on elders which we hope will
lead to the appointment of some elderships within
the next year. The fellowship time has energized
every church as they had the opportunity to meet
and discuss with Christians from all over.
Thanks
for your faithfulness in prayer.

This
was an exciting month for our ministry among the
Dagara. We hosted our second-ever leaders' meeting.
From our first meeting in June, 2005, we had almost
three times as many attendees from twice as many
village churches! It is a privilege to work alongside
these men and women as they discover what it means
to be godly leaders in Dagara village churches.
It was also a good month for 'regular' village
work, as Andy continued teaching some of our newly
translated Train and Multiply curriculum in 3
villages. He also restarted the evangelism curriculum
in Nyi-Kpier and finished teaching his way through
Mark with a group of young leaders. Melissa's
lessons in Dano-Pari continue to go well, and
she is excited about starting a new ladies' curriculum
in March. We were both encouraged by a Sunday
visit to Nyinyime where 23 people were baptized
into Jesus.

We
are mourning the loss of Nawn-baa, one of the
leaders of the Dano-Pari church. After a long
illness, he passed away early in the morning on
the 27th of February. His death has been especially
difficult for us emotionally. Pray for the Dano-Pari
church, that they would be comforted and encouraged
by the example both in life and death of this
good man.
On
the personal side of things, we enjoyed welcoming
our teammates into our home for a fancy (for us…)
Valentine's Day dinner party. We also received
a home visit from the social worker preparing
our American home study and received word that
the completed Burkina home study has been sent
to the capital, although no one has yet been willing
to admit they've received it. Please keep our
adoption process in your prayers, that we would
very soon be blessed with having our son or daughter
in our home.
God
bless.
Andy and Melissa
