This
month has been a little warmer and a lot dryer and dustier.
The Dagara have started burning the grass in their fields
because of snakes. We have seen two snakes enter our
yard at night and our valiant night guard has killed
them both. This month we have also had to say goodbye
to another family for a few months and are getting to
spend some extra time with the Johnsons. We have stayed
very busy with the work. God continues to bless Andrea's
ministry in home-schooling Daniel and she has redoubled
her efforts in getting the women's curriculum translated
into Dagara. Aaron has seen Nakar continue to grow as
they start to reach out to the Bagawn, "across the creek,"
section of the village of Nakar and Nyinyime has begun
dreaming about reaching out to another village called
V1. Donatien is zealous for reaching out to his home
village of Mou but has been discouraged by low turnouts
the first few weeks. Zengawn also asked us to wait again
until December to start teaching out there. The harvest
is taking up everyone's time and we are all struggling
with getting people to come to meetings. Please pray
that people will have a plentiful harvest this year,
and that when it is done, they will find time to come
and listen to God's word that God may also bring forth
a plentiful harvest of souls for His glory.
May
the LORD Bless You and Keep You

The
Carters are still on furlough in the States currently.
October was a fantastic month as we wrapped up
our time with Richardson East. It was such a blessing
to get to spend time in so many different classes
and feel that the partnership with Richardson
East deepen. One Sunday morning, 600 people sang
a Dagara song written by the church in Nakar.
It
was a very stirring experience. Noah continues
to grow well as he is now over 10 lbs. We are
up in Ulysses for the month of November and look
forward to the time with Amy's family and the
Ulysses church. We can be contacted on our cell
phone at 682-429-7063 or at the home of Loren
and Mary Ann Wright at 620-356-4492.
Thanks
for your prayers and support
In Christ

It's
been an exciting month for our family, full of
mostly great days, with a few 'technical difficulties'
inherent to life in west Africa. We took our vacation
for 2005, heading down south to spend time with
three different mission teams in Togo and Benin.
It was exactly what we needed right now - an incredibly
relaxing trip spent with good friends eager to
welcome us into their homes. We even got to spend
two nights at a beach hotel that was virtually
empty but for us.
Around
Dano, we have been enjoying our village work and
reexamining some of what we do. It's an exciting
(and intimidating) time, as we reflect upon what
kinds of materials to begin teaching as church
maturation lessons (another perk of our vacation
was getting to pick the brains of missionaries
who've been doing this a lot longer than us!).
It was also a momentous month for Melissa, as
she began teaching in the village in the Dagara
language! With an eventual goal of teaching the
women in our churches, Melissa started last week
in a comfortable environment, teaching her language
teacher and her family in her home in Dano-Pari.
Pray that God would continue to be glorified through
Melissa's efforts.
God
bless you all!
Andy and Melissa
