Chad, Amy, and Noah Carter
Chad and Amy met at Mission's seminar at ACU, and will celebrate five years
of marriage this May. They both graduated from ACU, Chad with a degree in physics
and a minor in missions, and Amy with a degree in biology and missions. Chad
is from the Dallas area and his home congregation, Richardson East, supports
them. Amy is from a small farming town, Ulysses, Kansas. They both participated
in African internships, Chad in Benin, and Amy in Burkina Faso and Kenya. Amy
also was part of a survey trip to Indonesia. Their internships were very influential
in their decisions to become missionaries, and they hope that your internship
will be a faith forming experience for you as well. Chad enjoys cooking, researching,
and playing his guitar. Amy enjoys singing, going for long walks, and hopes
to publish children's books someday. They arrived in Burkina later than the
rest of the team (for which they are eternally grateful), in March 2004. Their eldest son,
Noah, was born in September 2005 during their first furlough. Benjamin, their youngest,
was born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in July 2007. Their next furlough is scheduled
for Fall 2009.
